This is the EASIEST Peach Margarita recipe you’ve ever made! Even when peach season is over, you can still enjoy these margs year round thanks to a special ingredient that’s available ALL the time!
About the Peach Margarita Recipe
It’s finally peach season!! We just bought 50 pounds of fresh Georgia peaches from The Peach Truck, so we are in peach mode! Peach jam, peach chutney, peach cobbler, peach mostarda, peach bbq sauce, peach burrata salads, peach parfait, peach infused bourbon, peach smoothies, I could go on forever! And while I love fresh peaches in my cocktails, the only fresh peaches used in this cocktail are for the garnish.
This cocktail was originally created for a special event right before peaches were in-season and were still a little hard to find. While shopping, I came across the Peach Nectar from R.W. Knudsen and thought I’d give it a try. This peach/apple blend was DELICIOUS! And it’s always available.
This recipe would be great for any family BBQ, picnic, summer dinner party or happy hour. Did I mention it was SUPER easy to make?! You literally just put everything in a pitcher, stir and serve! Incorporating a little peach jam on the salted rim makes for a nice surprise and gives you a chance to utilize some homemade preserves if you have them laying around. Peach Margarita Recipe
This is the EASIEST Peach Margarita Recipe you'll find! Not peach season? No problem! This recipe only calls for them in the garnish thanks to some peach nectar that's available year round!
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Tequila (we prefer silver for this recipe)
- 3/4 Cup Cointreau Liqueur
- 1/2 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
- 2 Cups R.W. Knudsen Peach Nectar
- 1/4 Cup Peach Jam, for the rim (you can use a sliced lime wedge if not available)
- 1/4 Cup Kosher Salt, for the rim
- 1 Fresh Peach, sliced for garnish
- 6 Sprigs of Fresh Mint, optional
Directions
- Step 1 In a pitcher, combine the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, peach nectar and 4 cups of ice. Using a barspoon, stir all ingredients thoroughly to incorporate.
- Step 2 Add a few mint leaves to the pitcher, optional. Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes prior to serving. This will allow the ice to dilute a bit.
- Step 3 Place the peach jam a small side plate. If you don’t have peach jam, you can run a slit lime wedge around the rim of the glass instead. Place kosher salt on a separate side plate.
- Step 4 Dip the rim of each glass into the peach jam (or lime wedge) and coat evenly. Immediately dip the glass into kosher salt so that it’s evenly coated all the way around.
- Step 5 Add ice to each glass and pour margaritas into salt-rimmed glasses.
- Step 6 Top with a slice or two of fresh peach and a pretty mint sprig.
