Cozy Up With a Perfect Mint Tea Hot Toddy

Cozy Up With a Perfect Mint Tea Hot Toddy

Next time you’re snuggling up by the fire or stuck on the couch with a sore throat, this drink is a perfect cold weather companion. I love a good Hot Toddy, and adding a kiss of mint tea takes this cocktail to a new level. Afterwards, you may never drink a regular hot toddy again.

Mint Tea Hot Toddy

Mint Tea Grab your favorite bag of Mint Tea then let it steep for 4-5 minutes. Mint Tea gives this Hot Toddy a fresher, brighter, and “medicinal” twist. There are so many health benefits to mint tea. It also helps relieve cold and flu-like symptoms, digestive issues, headaches, and can help clear your sinuses. Now even if that isn’t enough to convince you to make a cup of mint tea, it can also help you sleep and reduce stress and anxiety.

Whiskey Makers Mark is usually what we consider to be our “house” Bourbon. But feel free to use whichever whiskey you prefer. Substituting dark rum or even tequila can also make the drink more interesting.

Honey Honey sweetens the drink while coating your throat. Try finding true local honey to help relieve your allergies! Nature Nates is our go-to. You can adjust the amount of honey up or down to accommodate your desired sweetness level.

Lemon Rich with Vitamin C and antioxidants, this will make you feel better and give your immune system a nice little boost. It also brings a bright citrus flavor to this drink. Garnish with a lemon peel to get all those good essential oils!
